Sharon Gainforth
Dr. Sharon Gainforth is a speech language pathologist, an SEL specialist, a certified Six Seconds EQ Practitioner, and an Education Specialist with SerKallai.
Sharon has diligently served her community for over 35 years. She is known for her dedication, passion, empathy, humor, and her intense motivation to see individuals fulfil their full potential. She developed the Stepping Stones Centre, which provided intensive multi-disciplinary intervention to over 800 children with neuro-diversities. Her focus on the families of the children was notable. Dr. Gainforth developed a non-profit organization and became the leader of a humanitarian team, which provides services to an orphanage in Haiti.
In 2019, Dr. Gainforth conducted a dissertation research study, which focused on the implementation of a social emotional learning (SEL) program to a small private school. The results, which were promising, indicated that students with functional diversities could achieve similar SEL outcomes as their typical developing peers if taught in a manner that met their specific learning needs. Based on her research results, she created the Unlimited Potential (UP) course. This course systematically provides parents with knowledge, content, and strategies that engage their children in the development of their emotional intelligence. Since that time, Dr. Gainforth developed and facilitates a variety of workshops and courses that promote communication and well-being.
